How do i deal with being in a relationship with someone in the military? should i take a chance? NEED ADVICE?

I just started talking to this guy he is a drill instructor for the marines he ask me to call him anytime but he misses my call or when he calls he could only talk for 20 -30 minutes and then go back to work he barely gets a day off sometimes a few hours off I work on the same base with him i see him marching his platoon or running with the recruits so i will see him sometimes i'm not used to this i need some advice on how to handle it i don't want to back out on him but not hearing from him or seeing him drives me crazy it makes me feel like he does'nt care i know it's not his fault and people keep telling me that drill instructors are dogs and they treat their women bad how will i know that he's not trying to take advantage of me?How do i deal with being in a relationship with someone in the military? should i take a chance? I WAS DATING A GUY IN THE ARMY AND MY UNCLE AND BESTF REIND ARE BOTH IN THE ARMY. I KNOW THAT MY BESTFRIEND CHEATS ALL THE TIME BUT HE SAID IT'S JUST CAUSE HE'S NOT NEAR HIS GIRL. I THINK MY EX CHEATED HE SAYS HE DIDN'T BUT I THINK SO CAUSE HIS BESTFRIEND DID. MY UNCLE TREATS HIS WIFE GOOD BUT IM SURE HE CHEATS. MY OLD BOSS BELIEVES HER HUSBAND CHEATS BUT SHE DON'T MIND CAUSE HE'S ALL THE WYA IN ANOTHER COUNTRY SHE SAYS IT'S COOL AS LONG AS HE TAKES CARE OF HER. THEY DO NORMALLY HAVE MORE TIME THAN THAT TO TALK ESPECIALLY SINCE THEIR IN CHARGE.
I think that men and women in the military both cheat on each other because they are apart so often...My little brother is a marine I wonder what base you work on?? He isn't a drill instructor though, anyways and he has yet to get married or have a relationship because of the military. I think the cheating is a mutual thing, because I have heard guys in the military say that their wives cheat too, and all that crap I said don't you do the same and they will deny it to the end of time but I am not stupid!! It is mutual cheating. I wouldn't do it!
